Malegra FXT, developed by the well-known Indian pharmaceutical company Sunrise Remedies, contains two active medicinal substances: 100 mg of sildenafil citrate (which is the main component of Viagra) and 40 mg of fluoxetine, which serves for prolongation of sexual intercourse and prevents premature ejaculation.

Sildenafil contributes to the flow of blood to the penis of a man, stimulating nitrogen oxides smooth muscles of the cavernous body of the penis, which causes a persistent erection. Fluoxetine is a selective inhibitor and is used as a medication for premature ejaculation. The use of two components simultaneously significantly improves the erection, increases the duration of sexual act and satisfaction in general.

The defined daily dose (DDD) recommended for Malegra FXT’s main indication in adults is 70 mg. The maximum dosage of the drug should not exceed 140 mg or one tablet per day. It should be noticed that larger doses of the medication will only increase the likelihood of undesirable side effects without any improvement in its effectiveness. Malegra tablets should be taken orally with plenty of water approximately one hour before the alleged sexual activity, with the effect lasting between 4 to 6 hours.

Please note that this drug cannot be combined with alcohol since this can cause negative consequences. Malegra is contraindicated for use with medicines containing nitrates in any form, nitrogen donators, beta-blockers. It is not recommended the simultaneous reception of Malegra with antibiotics and medications containing tryptophan, phenytoin, and lithium. Clinical trials of the drug did not reveal any serious side effects, but after taking the medication, patients rarely experienced headaches, fatigue, sleep disturbance, and facial redness.
